Our focus is simple: delivering quality projects safely, on time and on budget, while providing excellent service to our clients. We are looking for an experienced Drainage Foreman to lead by example and help us continue delivering work we can be proud of.
The role
As a Drainage Foreman, you will lead a drainage crew to safely deliver high-quality work while meeting programme and productivity targets. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set clear expectations, support and develop your crew, manage day-to-day site performance, and maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating drainage crews on site
- Planning daily activities and allocating work to achieve programme targets
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
- Reading and working to drawings, specifications, consents and project requirements
- Monitoring quality throughout the job and identifying issues early
- Leading toolbox meetings and maintaining a strong health, safety and environmental focus
- Coaching, training and supporting team members to build capability
- Managing crew performance and holding people accountable to clear expectations
- Communicating effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors and other site teams
What you will bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- PGDB registration required (CCC authorisation – nice to have)
- Proven drainage industry experience, including experience leading a crew
- A full Class 1 driver licence with W, T and R endorsements
- Strong practical knowledge of drainage installation, drawings, specifications and consent requirements
- A hands-on leadership style and the ability to set a positive standard for your team
- A strong commitment to the safety of your team, the public and the environment
- The ability to plan ahead, solve problems and keep work moving
- Clear communication skills and confidence managing people’s performance
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in delivering quality work
