Emergency
Relief
When communities need help, we’re ready to respond. It’s not just about having the right equipment – it’s about having a team that understands the urgency of emergency response.
Our 24/7 rapid response team has supported New Zealand through some of its most challenging times – from the Canterbury and Kaikōura earthquakes to the Port Hills fires and numerous other weather events.
Our emergency response capabilities include:
- Rapid deployment of heavy equipment including bulldozers and specialist machinery
- Water supply solutions with water tankers and transportable dams (our heli-bins can hold 30,000 litres)
- Emergency demolition of unstable structures
- Clearing roads and access ways after disasters
- Making unstable areas safe using remote-controlled diggers
- Supporting unique challenges like beached whale removal
Our ability to access dangerous areas safely is one of the things that sets up apart. Our fleet of remote-controlled diggers enables us to work in high-risk situations where it’s not safe to put operators – from clearing debris above the Otira Gorge to managing unstable structures after landslides.
